Important news for 2025!

Annual Subscriptions
A new way of paying from January 2025!

From 1 January 2025, when annual subscriptions become due, we will be moving to a new system called MemberMojo to:

  • manage collection of subscriptions in a much more efficient way
  • keep members’ details up to date (to faciliate compliance with GDPR)
  • send out communications
  • facilitate donations to our various funds

This will replace our current systems. MemberMojo is already used and endorsed by many ringing Associations, and you may already be familiar with it, or a similar system, as a member of another non-ringing organisation.

The new system will enable Resident and Associate members to update their details and pay their annual subscriptions in the same secure way as most of us are already used to when paying online for all sorts of goods and services, by card or other means of payment. The process is very straightforward and will take you only a few minutes!

Please note: If you currently pay by standing order and this is due to go out early in 2025, this will be collected as usual. However, in January you will still need to create a MemberMojo account so that you can update the details we hold for you in the system.

We will also be asking all Life and Honorary Life members of the Association, who do not pay an annual subscription, to use MemberMojo to keep their details up to date.

We have put together a list of Frequently Asked Questions about using MemberMojo, including what to do if members of your tower do not have email / internet access.

Please do have a look at the FAQs, available here:
https://www.bacbr.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/MemberMojo-FAQs-Nov-2024.pdf

Once the new system goes live to members in January, a step by step guide to using MemberMojo will be available, and we will also be on hand at ADMs to answer any questions you might have (although do look at the FAQs!) and to assist you with the process if required.

Look out in the January Update for further details!

New Association Calendar for 2025

From February 2025 a new Association Calendar will be in place, offering a wide range of ringing and training opportunities, with something for everyone!

The provisional calendar can be downloaded as a pdf from here, with notes and a guide to which level of ringing each session will be focussing on:
https://www.bacbr.org.uk/events/forthcoming-events/

As this is the first Association-wide calendar, the General Committee will be keeping the programme under regular review. We will be asking for feedback from all Association members so that we know what practices, training sessions and workshops are working and what may need to be changed.

In due course, we will also be asking members to sign up in advance for many of these events, so that we know in advance which are viable.

Please note that at this stage all towers are to be confirmed. We will be contacting towers month by month nearer the time to confirm. However, if you are a tower correspondent for a tower mentioned in this calendar and you already know that ringing will not be possible that day please email Angela Blackburn at trainingofficer@bacbr.org.uk as soon as possible.

This provisional calendar will be updated as necessary during the year, once towers are confirmed and we know which types of events are working. The calendar on the home page of the Association website will be kept up to date and the monthly Members' Update will have the latest event news, so please do check these nearer the time of an event.

We look forward to seeing you at an event in 2025!

BOOKING FOR EVENTS

We often ask you to commit to events in advance via GoogleForms or Doodlepolls so that we know that they are viable and to assist planning. If you have registered, we can then also easily communicate any changes or additional information to you.
We do realise that these are not everyone's cup of tea! However, using them to register for events makes admin for the organisers SO much easier ... saving us time and effort which we can then put into organising more and better events!! It also enables us to find out other information from you to assist with organisation.
GoogleForms or Doodlepolls do not cost us, or you, anything and are quick and easy to use.
We will only ever use your data for the purpose which it was given and will never pass on to third parties.
