The ‘Back to Ringing’ Recovery Project was started in Autumn 2020, initially to develop some short term strategies to get Bedfordshire ringing again post-Covid, and a longer term aim to make sure ringing in Bedfordshire has a healthy future. In January 2024 we were at a point where, having gathered information and member’s thoughts and views in several surveys and workshops, the General Committee came up with some suggestions and possibilities about how the Association could be moved forward and these were presented to the three District ADMs. Further feedback from these meetings was used to refine the proposals which were translated into a set of new Rules and put to members at the 2024 AGM. The proposed rule changes were passed and will come into effect after the AGM on 17 May 2025 . We are now in a transition period whilst we work with members to develop the new management structure, and a programme of ringing and training events to take effect from February 2025.
