Open Striking Competition and Picnic at Haynes, 18 September 2021

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Open Striking Competition and Picnic at Haynes. We hope that you enjoyed the afternoon and the specially organised sunshine!

A very big thank you too to our judges, Paul and Ann Seaman from Cambridge, and their doggie helpers, to Brian Oertel for providing tea and coffee all afternoon, and to everyone who helped with registration, stewarding etc.

Congratulations to Clifton, who won the Method Ringing Category and to Campton, winners of the Rounds and Call Changes Category. A special congratulations to Steppingley and their tutors, who rang in the Rounds Category. Most of the band started learning when their new bells were installed, just before lockdown, so have really only been ringing for a few weeks. Congratulations too to all those (quite a few!) for whom this was their first ever striking competition!
